The terms that govern your use of Gavia.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Gavia mobile application and the gaviahealth.com website (the "Services") operated by Gavia Health LLC ("Gavia," "we," "us," or "our"). Read them carefully. By using the Services, you agree to them.
By downloading, accessing, or using Gavia, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Gavia is not a medical device. The Services do not diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease, including Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, or any other inflammatory bowel disease. Gavia is a health tracking and wellness tool intended to help you organize your own data and communicate more effectively with your care team.
AI-generated content, including responses from GutGuide AI, biweekly health reports, and doctor reports, is informational only. It is generated by software and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. AI content is not medical advice and must not be used in place of professional medical evaluation.
Always consult your gastroenterologist or another qualified healthcare provider before making any changes to your treatment, medications, diet, or lifestyle. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number — do not use Gavia.
Mental health screening tools (PHQ-2, PHQ-9, GAD-7) included in Gavia are validated self-monitoring instruments, not clinical diagnostic tools. Screening results do not constitute a diagnosis of any mental health condition. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact your local crisis helpline — 988 in the United States, 116 123 (Samaritans) in the United Kingdom, 13 11 14 (Lifeline) in Australia, or your region's equivalent service, available directly through the app's crisis resources screen.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Apple ID or email address associated with your Gavia account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. One account per person. Do not share your account with anyone, including family members. If you suspect unauthorized access, recover your Apple ID at iforgot.apple.com, request a new email verification code, and then contact us at support@gaviahealth.com.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Gavia. The app verifies age during account creation and blocks access for users under 13. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should have parental consent.
You may pause your account at any time through the app's Profile settings. Pausing your account preserves your data but signs you out. You may reactivate at any time.
You may permanently delete your account and all associated data through Profile settings. Account deletion is irreversible and removes all data from our servers within 30 days. Before deletion, you will be asked to complete a brief feedback survey.
Gavia Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID:
Pricing may change. Existing subscribers will be notified of any price change at least 30 days before it takes effect, and will have the option to cancel before the new price applies.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Manage and cancel through iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Gavia.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their published refund policy. We do not directly process refunds.
You agree not to:
AI features (GutGuide, biweekly reports, doctor reports, GI message drafting) are provided as a convenience. Output is generated by large language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific medical situation. You are solely responsible for verifying any AI-generated content with a qualified healthcare provider before acting on it.
You may not use AI features to attempt to extract personal data about other Gavia users, to generate content that violates any law, or to bypass safety guardrails.
Gavia and all related content — including the app, website, name, logo, "Gavia" wordmark, the loon mark, the Gavia Standard, the Learn library, illustrations, and source code — are owned by Gavia Health LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Your tracking data remains yours. By using AI features, you grant Gavia a limited, revocable license to process your de-identified data solely to generate the AI output you requested.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gavia Health LLC and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred dollars ($100), whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You may stop using Gavia at any time. You may delete your account from Profile → Account → Delete account.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these Terms, abuse the Services, or use the Services in a way that creates legal risk for Gavia or other users. Where reasonable, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to address the issue first.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be brought exclusively in the appropriate courts of the United States, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
